So I was reading the other day how Karpov had a title match where he held the centre of the board and Still Lost! "No!" You are saying - "That Cannot Be!" Truth. He was the victim of better piece development. Having already castled, his opponent made what I am told is "the classic bishop sacrifice" to open the defense, then sent in a knight and a queen. Seems that Karpov had his big guns on the Other side of the board. How Embarassing.
So when you asked what I said in the car the other night it was this: "It fuckin' worked against Karpov..." ;)hehehe
